No more Ernie

When it released in 1994, Green Day's Dookie originally featured a photograph from a concert which prominently featured a plush toy of the Sesame Street character Ernie. However, more recent prints of the album have since removed the puppet. Most sources claim that Reprise Records, the label who owns the album, feared a lawsuit over the character, but I haven't been able to find any first hand sources on the matter.

The photograph below shows two copies of the album, the left being one of the reprints. Thanks to my brother (who owns the left copy), I have a side-by-side demonstration for this tidbit.
