Green Day's Kerplunk released with a Green Day fanfiction called "My Adventure With Green Day" in the liner, in the middle of all of the song lyrics. This fanfiction was written by Larry Livermore, co-founder of Lookout Records, the label which released Kerplunk. The story follows Larry's self-insert Laurie L. (presumably short for "Laurie Livermore"), a teenage girl who murders her parents to go on tour with Green Day.
This story was included in the album without the knowledge of the band, and they were not happy about it. Notably, there's a moment where the band's drummer Tré Cool attempts to flash his dick at the protagonist. Could you imagine signing with a record label which hides fanfictions in your albums that portray you as a sexual predator?
Final note about this story is that Larry Livermore, at the time of writing, was 43 years old. A 43 year-old man wrote this fanficiton where his self-insert is shipped with a group of 19 year-olds. Yikes! At least this was the last time Green Day ever worked with Lookout before their big label acquisition.
The picture is not readable and I haven't provided a transcript. You can likely find one elsewhere if you're curious, but I would warn you that the story features themes of child abuse, sexual assault, pedophilia, murder, and some ableist and homophobic remarks.
